The junior high basketball teams have a regular scheduled contest vs. East Atchison tonight, 12/3/20, at Fairfax starting at 5:30 pm. This was previously scheduled for Tarkio so please note the location change. Tickets and masks are required to attend any game being played at Fairfax. They do not allow visiting teams to bring cheerleaders either. This game will act as the final regular season contest for the junior high basketball teams.
Additionally, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 275 Conference has elected to eliminate a bracket style tournament and utilize a round robin format this year. Thinking behind this is that it will eliminate community and participant exposure to multiple schools being in one location at the same time.
The round robin format of the 275 Conference Basketball Tournament looks like this:
- Saturday, December 5 - Nodaway-Holt vs. Platte Valley @ Home. Start time - 10:00 am
- Monday, December 7 - Nodaway-Holt vs. East Atchison @ Fairfax. Start time - 5:30 pm (Ticket and masked required. No cheer)
- Thursday, December 10 - Nodaway-Holt vs. Rock Port @ Home. Start time - 5:30 pm
The determination of how each team will place in the tournament will depend on their win/loss record in the round robin games.
Thursday, December 10 will the the JH basketball team's last games of the season.
