8th Grade Science Makes Their Own Toothpaste
December 02, 2019
The 8th grade students recently made their own toothpastes in science class to put their understanding of minerals and scientific inquiry into practice. The students made and tested a classic white and a chocolate based toothpaste. They tested the cleaning power of the pastes on their recently used mineral streak plates and the results were clear! The classic white toothpaste worked and the chocolate did not work at all! Some of the braver students tested the toothpastes on themselves. The results: the chocolate paste did not work and tasted terrible. If you do not believe us, ask Mr. Hollingsworth! He tried them as well.
