Nodaway-Holt Bus Federal Mask Mandate
March 30, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians:
On March 17th, the Nodaway-Holt School District lifted the mask mandate requiring students and staff to wear mask during normal school hours. This action, however, does not apply to public transportation.
On January 21st, an Executive order signed by the President of the United States requires any passenger traveling via public transportation must wear a mask while on the vehicle or at transportation hubs (loading and unloading). This order applies to public school buses and will likely stay in effect until the end of the school year. We encourage our parents, guardians, and students to abide by the order and help us with compliance to the mandate. Safety behind the wheel is our bus drivers highest priority and bus drivers have many other responsibilities to keep your child safe. Please remind your child of the federal requirement and have them wear a mask while being transported. Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter.
